Auditionline was a personal effort, a contribution to the local performing-arts community designed to help community theaters and independent filmmakers coordinate with the actors in the region. It provides a single location for all producers to post casting notices, and for actors to read them. It runs on a content management system, on top of which we wrote custom calendaring and audition-database applications. The public face of the site is a simple interface for browsing upcoming auditions, with user registration available for visitors who wish to keep track of their favorite upcoming events.
Note the calendar along the right sidebar; if you visit the live site you will see informative popups when you roll over a highlighted date, with details about that audition. The calendar appears in various formats; on the front-page list, on the sidebar, and in a full-page calendar:

This site is a "dynamic" site, where all pages are generated on the fly based on the calendar information, and registered users post and manage their own organization's audition announcements with no need for our intervention.
